Our Take:
As you know, we love Coleman Tent Trailers. They are the best ever made and I personally own a 1998 Westlake Coleman Tent Trailer. This Coleman Tent trailer appears to be in outstanding condition.

We expect this auction to go for around $3,500 to at most $3,700. anything below that is really a good deal.

Things I really like:

• Storage in front area of tent trailer. That is very, very handy.
• Battery power, again handy if you don't have a power source.
• Fold out canvas behind the kitchen area. Great if you plan on cooking.
• AC. A must in the south.
• Heater. Great if you have small kids and like to camp in the fall or early spring.
• No mold. Huge for a 9 year olf camper.
• Good canvas. Again, a huge bonus for a 9 year old camper.

If you are looking for a great used tent trailer for your family, this would be a good one if the price stays below that $3,500!

Where To Sell A Used Camper

For years the only place to sell a used camper was the classified ads of your local paper. Now, that is the last place you'll probably have any luck selling that used camper. The number one place to sell a camper is online through eBay.

I prefer and have received better results using eBay because of the reach and audience. You reach a national audience that may travel far beyond your local area to buy your used camper. You also get top dollar because of the auction format.

But, as with anything else, you have to prepare and publish your listing correctly in order to draw attention to your used camper listing and get top dollar.

Used Campers - How To Market Your Used Camper Online

Marketing is always the same. The more eyes you can get on the product, the greater the chance of a sale or higher priced sale. Many people advertise and try to sell their campers online using eBay and Craigslist.

This is great, but you are so very limited in your reach. Only the people visiting eBay can see your listing. Only the people visiting Craigslist can see your listing. This is not good.

Our Take: Normally for first-time camper looking at used campers, it's good to buy a newer used camper. They usually carry less problems which leads to a more enjoyable trip. HOWEVER, there is an exception and this is one of those exceptions. This is a great used camper, in great condition and even better is at a great price. Right now, it's listed at $1,500. Well below NADA for the features and condition. This used camper would make for a great addition to any small family looking to get into camping.

Used Campers: 1999 Coleman Fleetwood Bayside

Description From eBay:

1999 Fleetwood by Coleman Pop-Up Camper. Low retail $4175 by NADA, high retail by NADA $5060. Setting reserve much lower than that. This camper has been hardly used. I am selling it with my brother in law, as I was buying it from him. Towed approximately 1000 miles on tires with no dry rot shown. I actually lived in it for the past summer. Everything works, the A/C is so cold in the summer you have to turn it down. Heater is VERY warm in the winter, even in very cold months. It's good that is has a thermostat to set the temp. As it is 8 years old, some repairs were done to the canvas that are actually more solid than the original canvas. I am an 18 year Navy veteran, and I know canvas. This camper is solid! If we didn't need the money, because I am working away from my family, I wouldn't sell it. Outside shower, hot water heater, cold fridge, A/C and heat, water tank, electric brakes, and everything works. Pick up preferred, but can, if an emergency, deliver for .50$ a mile. Used Campers - Great Time To Buy

I'm always looking for great deals on campers, actually on anything for that matter. If you are looking at used campers and thinking of buying, now is the time.

It's basic economics, supply & demand. Right now, you have a high supply because people are pretty much done with the camping season. You also have low demand because people don't want to buy something they can't use today. Especially a 5-10k purchase.

So, this means used camper values are at their lowest from now until about March. This is great news if you are looking to buy a camper. You can get some great deals out there.

Bad news if you want to sell your camper. You may want to hang on to it until the spring.
